Floor Scales: Durable and Accurate
Industrial Floor Scales have a number of important characteristics, including the platform size, platform capacity, accuracy, durability and cost. Generally, any of the first four may be improved, but only be increasing the cost. By a combination of excellent engineering, efficient manufacturing made in the USA, and a unique sales channel that eliminates a middle tier, Brightscale industrial floor scales offer the best feature-to-price ratio available. This gets combined into a state of the art, easy to use instrument with an impressive list of standard features and options. A large, graphics LCD readout screen and a powerful data communication set round out the feature set.
- Platform Size – A wide variety of sizes may be chosen, ranging from 3’ x 3’ up to 8’ x 10’, and even larger. All of the sizes feature a very low profile, allowing easy loading and unloading.
- Platform Capacity – Standard capacities range from 2500 lb, through 5,000 lb, 10,000 lb, 20,000 lb and even larger. Other custom values may be special ordered.
- Accuracy – Leading edge electronics coupled with specialized alloy stainless steel load cells result in floor scales with high levels of accuracy and repeatability.
- Durability – For superior durability, welded steel construction is used throughout these scales. Most floor scales use painted steel components. Instead, these floor scales are covered with a specialized epoxy that incorporates zinc particles, in order to provide extra rust protection. Most floor scales use steel load cells that have been nickel plated. On these scales, the load cells use special heat treated stainless steel. They are better at protecting the scale from side loads, and will hold up better to moisture. For those environments that require chemical resistance, full stainless steel construction is also available.
