Industrial Corrosion Resistant Scales, often used in water and wastewater treatment facilities, along with other chemical facilities, have a number of important characteristics. These include protection from a wide variety of harsh chemicals, platform size and capacity, accuracy, durability and cost. Corrosion Resistance – A special “triple epoxy” compound coats the stainless steel scale. This protects it from harsh acids, caustics and solvents. Garnet sand in the compound protects the coating from being scraped off as drums or other containers are placed on the platform.
Platform Size and Capacity – Standard capacities are 500 lb and 1000 lb. Larger scales up to 20,000 lb are also available. Platform sizes range from 20” x 27” up to 5’ x 5’ and even larger. Other custom values may be special ordered.
Accuracy – Leading edge electronics coupled with specialized alloy stainless steel load cells result in Corrosion Resistant Scales with high levels of accuracy and repeatability.
Durability –For superior durability, welded construction is used throughout these scales. Most platform scales use nickel plated steel load cells. Instead, these Corrosion Resistant Scales use a special alloy of heat treated stainless steel for the load cells, welded stainless steel for the body, offering excellent corrosion protection.
